Tips from Our Chef Steve

  • Dress your salad just before serving as this stops the leaves from loosing their freshness. 
  • Give your French dressing a lift by adding Schwartz for Chef Chives, Parsley or Tarragon.
  • Store dressings made with oil at room temperature to stop them solidifying.
  • Add Schwartz for Chef Cumin, Ground Coriander and Garlic In Oil to liven up chicken livers when using for a salad.
  • To add that twist to your Caesar dressing add a teaspoon of Schwartz for Chef Tarragon.
  • I love Feta cheese in my salads, however,  it can be a bit salty so simply soak in water for 5 minutes, then drain. The least salty feta comes from Greece and Turkey.
